Intro to Aviation
(Winter and Spring Trimester Only!)
Explore the basics of aviation, prepare to take the FAA knowledge test for your Private Pilot Licence and explore career opportunities in the aviation industry. In this course we will study basics of aerodynamics, weather science, basic engines, avionic systems, flight instruments, navigation, civilian flight rules, radio communication and aviation safety as well as taking tours of different local aviation related businesses.
~Lab Fee:$25 due at the start of winter trimester, covers an E6B Flight Calculator, Plotter, and Study Workbook that the student will keep.
Prerequisites:9th grade math or better , 9th grade science or better, both trimesters must be taken sequentially of each other in order to recieve any credit for the classes.
