Learn the foundations of creating quality images for Web usage in this project based curriculum, This class teaches students how digital images are created, how to apply essential graphic design principals, and the art of incorporating interactivity into webpages. Students will learn how to use Adobe Fireworks while working hands-on with digital cameras and scanners. Each project created will be incorporated into a final product wiht an emphasis on the local business community.
Digital Media Flash Animation
Learn the foundations of using Adobe Flash to enhance user experiences on the Web in this project based curriculum. Students discover ways in which rich media and animation can improve digital communication. Adobe Flash is the professional standard authoring tool for producing high-impact Web experiences which include animated logos, long-form animations, and sensory-rich Web sites. Along with Flash, students will learn how to incorporate sound into their projects using the Sonic Foundry Acid Pro software. Students will showcase theirs skills by creating their own Flash based projects for the local business community
Digital Media Website Design
For Students Only
Learn the foundations of using Adobe Dreamweaver to developing websites, webpages, and importing other digital media products from Fireworks and Flash. Students will discover helpful tools to enhance the web creation experience and design their own electronic portfolios that can be shared with anyone in the world. Also, students will be in charge of managing and updating their own website hosted on the classroom server. This class concludes with a capstone project where students design and create a website for a business in the local community.
