Game Programing

Beginning:
 
This course is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of game programming. Students will learn how basic 2D game programs are created, as well as the mathematical concepts involved in making games. All games will meet the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) "rated for E for everyone" rating. No previous experience in programming is necessary.

*Prerequisite: completion of Algebra 1 preferred


Advanced:
 
This class is designed to teach students higher level programing relevant to creating 3D games. Students will be introduced to 3D design using Torques software, as well as an increased understanding of mathematical concepts used to make games. Each project will cover the techniques behind the programming, textures, and integration of sound and music for successful 3D game creation.

*Prerequisite: Successful completion of Beginning game programing
