Beginning
Take the beginning steps to learn the elements of design and how to take a project from an idea to a finished product. Learn hand drawing skills as well as the basics of Corel Draw!, Photoshop and the Rhinoceros computer programs. Make posters, binder covers and fun logos on the computer. To fulfill
the leadership component, you will participate in TSA (the Technology Students of America), an association of Technology Education that includes Graphic Design. There will be opportunities to participate in community service, fund raising, regional and state competitions with an emphasis in applying your skills in Graphic Design.
 
Advanced
This course is the next step in Graphics. You will learn 3D design techniques in addition to designing and printing multi-colored projects, font design, computerized sign making and packaging design. Learn advanced techniques available in Corel Draw!, Adobe Photoshop and Rhinoceros. Use the Laser Engraver to create products, make vinyl stickers and design signs for the school. To fulfill the leadership component, you will participate in TSA (the Technology Students of America), an association of Technology Education that includes Graphic Design. There will be opportunities to participate in community service, fundraising, regional and state competitions with an emphasis in applying your skills in Graphic Design.
 
Graphic Technology
This course is designed for students who want advanced training in the use and mastery of Photoshop, Corel Draw! and Rhinoceros computer graphic design software. Students will develop the skills required to take an idea from design to product development and model building. It is strongly recommended that students complete two trimesters of Beginning and/or Advanced Graphics before enrolling in this course. To fulfill the leadership component, you will participate in TSA (the Technology Students of America), an association of Technology Education that includes Graphic Design. There will be opportunities to participate in community service, fundraising, regional and state competitions with an emphasis in applying your skills in Graphic Design.
